The rules and guidelines for using Algebro.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Algebro, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms").

If you are a teacher or school administrator, you may accept these Terms on behalf of your students.

If you are a parent or guardian of a student under 18, your child's use of Algebro is subject to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the platform.

2. What Algebro Is

Algebro is an educational platform designed to help middle school students learn algebra through:

Interactive lessons
Guided practice
Quizzes
An AI-powered learning guide called Bro
A virtual reward system (BroCoins) and cosmetic customization features

Algebro is intended as a supplemental educational tool and is not a replacement for classroom instruction or professional teaching.

3. Accounts

Algebro supports the following account types:

Student Accounts

Created using a class access code provided by a teacher
Allow access to lessons, quizzes, practice sessions, and the Bro Shop
Students log in using a username and password
Student email addresses are not collected or permitted

Teacher Accounts

Created using a school code provided by a school administrator
Allow teachers to create classes, manage students, view progress, and reset student credentials
Teachers may optionally provide an email address for login and account recovery

Parent Accounts

Separate from student accounts
Require an email address
May be linked to one or more student accounts for view-only access
Cannot submit student work, change answers, or modify academic records
May access a demo mode of the platform that does not save progress

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Do not share your password with others.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use Algebro for any purpose other than education
Share your account or use another person's account
Attempt to access data belonging to other users
Submit inappropriate, offensive, or harmful content
Attempt to hack, disrupt, or exploit the platform
Use automated scripts or tools to interact with the platform

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. BroCoins & Virtual Items

Important:

BroCoins are a virtual reward system with no real-world monetary value.

BroCoins cannot be purchased, sold, transferred, or exchanged for money
BroCoins are earned only through educational activity
BroCoins may be spent only on cosmetic items within the Algebro platform

We may modify the BroCoins system, item pricing, or available items at any time. There are no refunds or compensation for virtual items or currency.

6. AI Features

Algebro includes AI-powered features such as the Bro learning guide and automated quiz feedback.

AI features are provided as learning aids only
AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors and should not be considered authoritative
Students should not enter personal information into AI chat features
AI tools supplement, but do not replace, teacher instruction

7. Intellectual Property

All content on Algebro, including lessons, questions, graphics, and software, is owned by Algebro and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, distribute, or reproduce platform content without permission.

Student-generated content (such as answers and reports) remains the property of the student and their parent or guardian.

8. Data & Privacy

Your use of Algebro is governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how data is collected, used, and protected. We are committed to:

Never selling student data
Never using student data for advertising or marketing
Using data only for educational purposes and platform operation
Honoring data deletion requests from parents, students, and schools
